A Renovation Project Focused on Creating a Modern Medical Environment

The Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology was established in 1979 on the initiative of National Leader Heydar Aliyev with the aim of studying cardiovascular diseases, advancing scientific research, and improving patients’ quality of life. The institute was named after the prominent scientist and physician, Academician Jahangir Abdullayev.

Since its establishment, the institute has operated under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and has become one of the country’s leading medical institutions in the fields of scientific research and specialized healthcare services.

At the beginning of 2025, BİMD Company initiated the preparation of design and cost-estimate documentation for the major renovation of the Academician J.M. Abdullayev Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology. Within the framework of the project, the renovation of the building façade, the creation of a modern architectural appearance, and the reorganization of interior spaces in accordance with contemporary medical standards are planned.

The renovation concept is aimed at improving the institute’s functionality, creating a more comfortable and safe environment for patients, and supporting the development of modern medical infrastructure.
